The football season is over. We don't know if we are happy or sad. What will we do with all our time. Practice 4 nights a week, 2 games on Sat. But hey they had a lot of fun playing. And they both did goodThis was Hunters 1st year playing. He mostly played defense, with a little offense.

This was Colts 4th year playing. He started out on offense. Not his favorite place to play. But the last 3 games he played defense and offense, usually the hole game. He was in heaven.

Brett helped coach Hunters team. They had a lot of fun.

For the 4th of July we went to Whitney lake with our friend the Hadley's. We had so much fun 4 wheeling and fishing and just hanging out.Everyone loves riding the 4 wheelers through the water.

We got a new motorcycle this summer. I don't know who likes it better Brett, Me, or Colt.Colt is usually the one to ride it. And he is getting really good at it and loves it.
And Sierra is learning how to ride also.

Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake for the Day on the 24th of July. It was crowded, but the kids had a blast playing in the sand and water.Hunter seeing if he can balance on the tube.

Pine Wood Derby

This year Colt and Hunter got to be in the Pine wood Derby. They both designed there own cars. Hunter took 3rd place and Colt was right behind him in 4th place.

Ice Fishing

Brett and the boys love to go Ice fishing. This year McKenna went a long and even caught some fish. She even kissed her fish. They all had a blast. Sierra and Mom stayed home where it is warm and dry.

Temple Square and New Years Eve with the Hadleys

Every year, the day after Thanksgiving we go and cut down a Christmas tree. This year we went to the Unithas. It was so pretty up there, and it was fun riding the 4 wheelers around looking for a tree, eating warm soup and drinking hot Chocolate. Don't you just love family traditions?

I meant to add the picture of Hunter and his Dad, but got the one of Sierra, and she looks so cute, So here is one of him and his Dad. Hunter just loves his dad. In fact last weeks just Hunter and his Dad, and uncle Nathan went Elk hunting. He go to miss school and spend the whole day with his dad. He was so excited. He always has to be the one to kneel by him in family pray. And he is a mini me of Brett, with hair of course. Last night for his birthday Hunter wanted to play monopoly and he had not even made it around the board once and he kept going to jail. He would get out and then the next turn he was in jail again. This happened 3 times and we were all laughing so hard. We could not believe that it was happening to him. But in the end Hunter ended up winning. He always wins at Monopoly

It was Hunter Birthday and Baptism. It is not every day that you get baptized on your birthday. We are so proud of you making this decision.

Wow it has been a long time since I posted anything. WE are all still alive and doing well. School started and the kids are doing great.

Colt is in 5th grade, and playing football and loving it. I will post some foot ball pic another time.

Hunter is in 2nd grade and is a great reader.

McKenna started 7th grade. She is doing so well. I think I was more nervous then she was.

And Sierra is in 1st grade. Yes I am all alone all day. Well don't worry I am finding plenty to do. Between helping my mom and running for Brett, I still find time for myself.

Happy Birthday McKenna. It was actually yesterday. on Fathers day. I can't believe that she is 12. It seems like yesterday she was born. She has grown into such a beautiful young women. I am so proud of her and how hard she works and is always so kind to everyone. She loves life and is full of energy. She had her first day of Young Womens. She was so excited to go, even though she has already gone to girls camp.

She is always smiling and taking care of everyone.

She plays the violin, piano and love gymnastics.

Kenny Graduates

It feels like Kenny was just this age going into kindergarten. I wish she was just graduating from there but nope.....

McKenna graduated from 6th grade on Friday. Wow how the years have flown by. Look how little she was going into Kindergarten. I am so proud of how hard she has worked this year, and has improved so much.

I did this blog entry a little while ago and now Sierra has lost her other tooth. So now she has lost both of her bottom teeth today. No more loose teeth for now....

Sierra is just getting to big. She is big enough to ride Colt bike. It makes her feel really big. She is so good at riding her bike and she loves it. Today was her kindergarten program. She did such a good job, and sang all the songs so good. I can't believe that she is almost done with kindergarten.

It has been a big day. She was getting a drink and was trying to pull the cups apart with her teeth, and her tooth fell out. She thought she bit off some of the cup until her mouth was bleeding and we went back and found her tooth on the floor. My baby lost her baby tooth. And the other one is getting loose. So any day she could loose the other one.

We had our Easter Party with The Johanson on Saturday. Sierra was so excited that is was on her birthday. Nana puts number on there eggs so eveyone gets the same amount. She kept reminding her to put a 6 on hers and not a 5. It was fun to watch all the kids run around and get there eggs. Even the big kids got some eggs to.

Today my baby turned 6. I can't even believe that she is that old. She was only 4lbs 10 oz, when she was born. The day we brought her home, McKenna who was 5 went and got one of her dolls and said "look they are the same size." She was such a sweet baby and so full of life. If she likes you she likes you to the extreme. You say a persons name that she likes and she gets so excited. She LOOOVES dolls. She has about 20 of them and it is still not enough. My mom took her birthday shopping and I called my mom to see what she got and my mom said guess. I said a baby doll. And she said yes. That is what she wanted. So then Nana took her shopping and she got yet another baby doll. They all have names and she loves them all.
She is so full of life. We love her so much, and I think that lilfe would be really dull with out he around. We love You Sierra Happy Birthday!!!!

McKenna came home from school a couple of weeks ago complaining that they had to type a report in 12 font. She was saying that she has a hard time reading it, and then later she was complaining that she could not read her piano music. So last week we took her to the eye Dr and she needed glasses. They were suppose to be in on Sat, so we went to pick them up and they were not ready yet. She was really disappointed. So today they were ready and we went and got them after school. She looks so cute in them, and she says she can see better now. But they are giving her a little headache while she is getting use to them. She looks so grown up in them.

I don't know of another 10 year old boy who can work as hard as Colt can. He will get up early with Brett and go to work with him and stay all day and all night, come home late and get up early and go to school the next day. He loves to go with Brett and work. Last summer Brett bought him his own tool belt and he hold the tools Brett needs, and know what all of them are and what they are used for and where they are at all time. So last week they were digging a trench for our new/used hot tub and Brett let him use the jack hammer. It was really cute watching him use it. And Sat he was by Bretts side all day long as they hooked up the electricity to the hot tub, which is still not working. WE were all so excited to sit in it Sat night and it has a short somewhere, and then it has been snowing, so kind of hard to work on it in the snow. So one day it will work. For my birthday Janice suprised us with dinner. And a few new shirts. It was very nice. So Sunday we had to go to the baptismal preview with Hunter. and while I was gone the kids made and decorated a cake for me. Instead of the cake pan they did it in just a size smaller, but it was so cute and yummy. It has lots and lots of sprinkles, skittle and choclate chips. Thanks kids you did a great job.

January camping

So Brett is trying to go camping with the boys once a month. They went to Brigham City to the KOA and stayed in a cabin. It was a little cheating, but they said it was cold. They had fun thought.

The girl like it when they go, we get a girl night out. We went and saw High School Musical 3. They each got to take a friend. Then just me and the girls went and at a Dylans. It was a lot of fun.

Colt's Bear

Colt earned his bear, and 1 gold and 4 silver arrows. Now he is off to Weblos. He is so excited. He is not in trouble, just getting face painted, yes by a cop. He is our new cub master.

Last night after going to dinner for Colt's birthday, we went to New Beginnings for McKenna. I am sure you all know what that is, but for those who don't, or need a refresher, it is to welcome the new beehives into young womens. I was ok with this until they called her up to introduce her, and one of the leaders who use to teach her when she was 5 in primary gasped real loud and turned around and said "I can't believe she is old enough." After she said she was shocked when they called her name. And so was a lot of other ladies. We have lived in our ward for 13 years. So she was born in this ward, and everyones has seen her grow up. She is so beautiful, and I am excited and she get to go in young womens, (but not til June, just in time for camp, ahhhhh!!!!) I think Brett is having a hard time to, when anyone asks him if she get to go to camp, he says yes and don't remind me. I was in young womens for about 8 years after we moved into the ward, and the last 3 years I was camp director and everyone kept telling us that before we know it McKenna would be going. Well she is and now it is making me feel really old. Wasn't I just a beehive myself? I think it was just yesterday. How did I get a daughter the same age. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Colt has been working really hard on his Bear. One of the things was to build a tool box, so of course they had to make it big, but Colt has fun making it with his dad.

So one day I was looking out the back door, and Bandit was on the tramp. The kids thought this was so funny. Apparently the kids shoveled the snow of into a pile and she now he can just run up the pile and hang out on the tramp. He is going to be sad when the snow melts.

Jay's Gradutation

On Friday, my brother Jay Gradutated from Weber State University. He is the only one in our family that has gradutated. We are all so proud of him. He is now going to go to graduate school, we don't know where yet. He is going to be a physical Therapist. I will be really sad when he moves away.
After all the Brother and Sister, and mom and dad went to dinner at Olive Garden. I think it is the first time we have all gone out for a long time. We had a good time.

Day After Thanksgiving

It has been a tradition for 14 years to go and cut down our Christmas tree with the Johanson the day after Thanksgiving. We have done it every year except for one. We usually go to the tree farm in Mt Green, but got bored of that. And last year we went to a cabin for Thanksgiving and cut one down up there. Well Brett has always wanted to go to the Unitas and cut one down. So this year we did. We went up by Christmas meadows and cut down our tree. I am still not sure what it will look like, because it is still in my front yard. (Brett has been to busy to put it in the tree stand. I just might have to do it myself). But we had a lot of fun. We took the 4 wheelers up and drugged the trees out with them. Had soup and Hot chocolate, and even built a fire. We were all cold, but had a blast.

Long lost cousins

Brett has a cousin, well actually a 2nd cousin I guess, and she called him to do some plumbing in there basement. It is a older house, and he found a few more things wrong with it then they thought. So he went over there, and took his little helper Colt with him. Well they have 3 little kids and Autumn and Bailey who is 7 and 5 were shy and didn't really talk to Colt. So on Sat he went over there again, and they started talking and playing, and now Colt and Autumn are best friend. It is so cute. They get so excited to see each other, and talk about each other all the time. Sierra and Bailey have now also became best friends, and love to play together. Chalyce and I went to school together, and so we can find plenty to talk about to. So we have alot of fun with them. So we invited them to go 4wheeling today. So we took them up to the V. We all had a blast. Colt drove Autumn around the whole time. They have little boy Wyatt, and he loved to ride the 4wheelers to. We all have a great time with them. We are excited that they found us. They like camping, and now they like 4wheeling. I think we will have a fun summer next year. I am already ready for it, to go camping again.

So I got there a little late with the girl, we went to the Nutcracker. Apparently before we got there Brett took my 4wheeler out in the water and got stuck. He was standing in the seat then there was only a inch of the seat sticking out. So they pulled him out, and the later on in the day, she decided to try it again on his 4 wheeler, and again got stuck. So we had to pull him out again. I just think he likes to use his wench.

Hunter

A couple of weeks ago Hunter was in a wrestling clinic at Davis High. He went every night for a week and on Sat he had a little tournament. I was fun to watch, but as a mom, I did not like it. He took third in his division. And he never got pinned. He is a tough little guy. Then on Friday he got to go and eat lunch with the Mayor. Each class got to pick one student, and Hunter was picked from his class. He is a very good student and is doing very well in school, and is always on task. I am so proud of him. He got to go and have pizza and get a tour of the city building and the library. He was very excited, and keeps telling us facts about the city. It is Very cute.

Muddy 4 wheeling

These were some moose we saw on the side of the mountain. Of course Brett had to see how close he could get. It was pretty cool to watch them.

Brett decided he want to try and get one more run in before the snow flies. So Sat we went with our friend Pete and Tina and went to Monte Cristo. It was a muddy mess. But the kids had fun. Sierra want to go and play with all her cousin, since Verlene had her baby last Thursday morning.

Laundry....may be hazardous to your health

So last Tuesday I was carrying laundry up the stairs when all the sudden I felt a popping in my back, and I couldn't really walk. So I went and layed down for a min thinking it would go away, and it wasn't, so I got up to take some Advil, and I was standing at the sink and it popped again, and I couldn't move. So I layed on the bed in pain, all the time I was talking to my friend Debbie. So I decided to call Brett and tell him, what was happening. And he told me to go to the Dr if I needed to. So I called an made an appointment and called my friend Candace, and bless her and her daughter, they took me to the Dr. It was her daughters b-day and they were going to Chuckie Cheese, and put it off to take me. So I went to the Dr and after bending and twisting me, he said it looked like I slipped a disk. I was confused, because my back didn't hurt so much as my right hip and leg. He said that was because the disk slipped and was sitting on my nerves. So needless to say, I have never been in so much pain in my life. So Candace took me home and got me medicine. Thanks goodness for pain killers. I hate how they make you feel, but the pain went away, somewhat.
So Brett was in SLC working, so he did the next best thing, he sent him mom over to help with the kids. Candace brought dinner in that night. I can't thank all the people that helped me out for the next couple of day. Debbie and Donna brought dinner in and Laura brought it in another night. My mom came up one morning and help out to.
I am feeling better now. The Dr said it could take up to 2 months to feel better. I hope not. But he kids have been a great help. Colt is becoming quite the little cook and cleaner. He will do any job in the house you ask him to, but don't ask him to clean his room. He does not like that.
Soo... Any way Thank to everyone who has helped out, I don't know what I would have done with out you.

Brett and McKenna went on a Daddy Daughter Date on Sat night. It was a 50's theme. So on the invation it said to wear your poodle skirts and for the guys slick back your hair and wear your black jacket. So Brett did just that.

Sand Dunes

We went to the Sand Dunes, or Little Sarha. As we was loading up the night before Sierra started to cry, saying that she didn't want to go. So we called Grandma, and she went and had a sleep over with her, and then played with her cousins the next day. So those of us who went, we had a lot of fun. The kids kept getting stuck, and we would push them out. The next day I was so sore. I was the only one who didn't get stuck, well I got stuck, but I was able to get my self out. Even Brett got stuck on on hill and had to be pulled out. There was a big bowl, that I loved going around and around on. I would take the kids, it was so fun. Winter Camping

Hunter wanted to go caming for his birthday, and we told him it was suppose to snow, and he didn't care, he wanted to go. They have tried for about a month to go camping and have not made it. So they were getting stuff ready, and I didn't want them to sleep in the tent, so I talked him into taking him moms trailer. It is just a little one, but it would keep them warm. So he got it and was glad he did. They just went up Bountiful Canyon, and spent the night and came home. But they had fun. Hunter has now had his first winter camp out. Colt has his when he was 2. He has been a slacker with Hunter. To Cold for me.

Dresses

Any of you who know my mom, knows that she is a wonderful crocheter. As was her mom. I am not sure why I did not pick up on this talent. It must have skipped me. I had a baby dress that was my moms when she was a baby, that was made by her mom, and it was pink. Then I have a purple dress that I wore as a baby that was made by mom. Then my mom made McKenna a green dress and Sierra a peach baby dress, and the thread that she used was my grandma thread. So all these dresses have something to so with my mom and Grandma. My mom volunteers at the Syracuse History Museum, and she wanted the pink dress that her mom made, to put on display, with some booties. My Grandma Barber was very famous for making baby booties. So I donated the dress to the museum. So before I let it go I took some pictures of them. My how we all have grown.

Chuckie cheese

Last night we went to Chuckie Cheese for Hunters Birthday. We had a fun time. It was a little crazy there. SIerra was not scared of Chuckie, until I told her to give him a hug, and she didn't want to do that.

Hunter brought his best friend Nick

I was playing skee ball, and all the sudden I had 40,000 point. I didn't know I had gotten that many, and then it just kept spitting out tickets. I got a 122 tickets. I was so suprised

Even Brett got in the fun. Brett got the high score for the football game.

Today is Hunters 7th Birthday. Happy Birthday!!!! We love having Hunter in our family. He is such a joy, and keeps everyone laughing. He is gread friend and gets along with everyone. Here is a picutre of when Hunter was youner. Wasn't he the cutest little boy. We Love You Hunter.

1. Was working full time
2 Hunter was turning 6
3. Helping Brett with his plumbing Co.

This year so Far.
1. Went to Hawaii
2. Had a great summer 4 wheeling, and camping with Family and friends.
3. Was able to quit job and stay home.

Yesterday:
1. Watched McKenna singing in conference on the internet. ( she was so cute)
2 Did a puzzel while watching conference.
3. Ate pumpkin pie Debbie made. YUM!!!

Today:
1. Got up at 6:00 and went walking.
2. Took another walk with Brett.
3. Went to skate night, and wathched Colt hold hand with a girl. (He is only 9, I think I am going to be in trouble with that one. He already likes girls. But he said he had to because they were doing snowball, what ever that is.)

Tomorrow:
1. Go walking at 6:00 in the morning
2. Should clean house and do laundry.
3.Take Hunter to Soccer and Kenny to gymnastics.

Next year.
1. Hopefully go to Hawaii again.
2. Have a new car.
3. Remodel my house (wont hold my breath on that one.)

General Conference

Today McKenna sang in General conference. It was such a neat experience for her. Her favorite part was at the end when Pres Monson waved at them and gave them a thumbs up. She said that a lot of the other general authorities gave them a thumbs up. She was only on tv once, that is if you have wide screen. They showed her in "The Light Divine", kind of at the first. I saw her on the screen, and was excited that we saw her. When we came home, we watched it, and we could not see her at all. We watched it like 3 or 4 time, and I was getting frustrated, because I know I saw her. Then I saw a shot, and it occured to me that in the conference center, you see it in wide screen, so at home, if you don't have wide screen you couldn't see her. So I called my sister, who has wide screen, and she could see her. So Tim, my bro in law got on his computer and you could see her on the Internet also. So she was very excited that she could see herself. So I was so excited that I copied the picture and emailed it to everyone. She could have had a little more time on tv, but the girl behind her wanted her to trade her places, so she did, and that girl was on a couple of time. She was disappointed that she changed her places. but she is ok with it now. She thought is was pretty cool to sing to the whole world. We are so proud of her. This is the picture of her, that you would see on tv, if you have wide screen.

Conference

Just a reminder to everyone, to watch the Saturday afternoon session of Conference. McKenna is singing in it. She is on the left side, 4th row up, on the very end, in a long sleeve pink shirt. It is such a neat experience. WE are so proud of her.

Jog a thon

Today was our schools Jog a thon. It is what we do to earn money. The kids run around the field as many times as they can in 20 min. They were real troopers, running most of the time. Way to go!

I've been a slacker

Ok Ok Ok, So I have been a slacker. Are you proud of me Debbie and Britney? I finally up dated my blog. Here is what else is going on. Both Hunter and Sierra won there soccer games. Colt lost his last game, but played really good. He is going to a tournament next weekend, so he is excited that he still gets to play a little longer. The primary program is over and it went really well.
Some exciting news, but I think every one probably knows, but McKenna gets to sing in General conference, the Sat afternoon session, she will be on the left side, the 4th row up on the very end. she will be in pink. Who knows if you can see her, but she is very excited and nervous to sing to the whole world. I have to be the chaperon for our ward, so I have gone to the practices and get to take them to conference. It has been fun.

Ouray Colorado

2 weekends ago Brett and I went with some friends to Ouray Colorado, riding our 4 wheelers. Let me tell you, Colorado has some mountains. We rode 4 wheelers for 3 1/2 days. The first day we went riding, my 4 wheeler broke, but luckly our friends mom didn't want to drive, so I got to ride hers the rest of the time. I was so beautiful. they have these huge mountains with little towns in the valleys. We saw alot of old mining town. It is amazing how small there houses were. My mother in law came and stayed with the kids, so I didnt have to worry about them. We had a great time. here are some of the picutes.

Happy Anniversary

Today is our 14th wedding anniversary. I can't believe how fast time goes by. I still love Brett Just as much, (maybe even a little more.) He is so good to me and our family. He is a wonderful husband and Dad. What a fun journey it has been.

Colts football game

Colt's team won his football game against Roy. It was 18 to 8. Go Kaysville Kings.
Hunter and Sierra did good on there games to.

Football and Soccer

Here is Colt playing football. He is a very good tackler. He has played nose guard, line backer and corner backer, on defence. One play he was able to make the quarter back fumble the ball. He is a tought little kid.

d'ette dance

First Day of School

Yesterday was the first day of school. And all the kids are in school now. Everyone asks what I will do with my time. I have a list a mile long. McKenna is in 6th grade, Colt in 4th, and Hunter is in 1st, and gets lunch, and 3 recesses, and Sierra is in Kintgearten. But she is mad, because she doesn't get to go yet. She will go in the morning when she goes, so we get to hang out in the afternoon. She thinks she gets McDonalds every day.

So here goes the busy schedule. The girls and doing a half time dance at the Davis game on Friday, so they have practice every day, and Colt has football practice every night, and Sierra and Hunter are in soccer. So much for having dinner together this week. But they are all having fun.
